How to convert HEIC to PDF

  1. Add your HEIC photos. On an iPhone, open this page in Safari and choose them from your library.
  2. Drag them into order and rotate any that need it.
  3. Choose the page size, then download your PDF.

Why HEIC files cause trouble

iPhones and iPads save photos in HEIF format (.heic files), which uses less storage than JPEG (Apple Support). Many upload forms and older computers don't accept it, but they almost always take PDF.

Tip: save new photos as JPG instead

On your iPhone, go to Settings > Camera > Formats and choose Most Compatible. New photos will then be saved as JPEG (Apple Support).

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to convert HEIC to JPG first?

No. Add HEIC files directly and PDFWrangle converts them in your browser.

Does it work on iPhone?

Yes. Open the page in Safari and choose photos from your library. Large HEIC photos can take a moment each to decode on older phones.

Can I combine HEIC photos with JPG or PNG images?

Use Image to PDF to mix formats in one PDF. This page is for iPhone HEIC photos.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser on your own device, so your files are never sent to a server.
